NEW ORLEANS WOMEN AND CHILDREN'S SHELTER

New Orleans Women and Children’s Shelter is a non-profit organization with the mission to help break the cycle of homelessness. The shelter provides a safe-environment to help families transition out of poverty and into a life of stability and success. They offer a range of services during a families’ stay, including workforce development programs, financial literacy, intensive case management, and children’s after school and summer programs. Seeing the positive impact New Orleans Women and Children’s Shelter has had on the lives of homeless families in the New Orleans community encouraged us to support their efforts. Our mom was very fond of New Orleans Women and Children’s Shelter, which led us to make our first donation to the organization in her honor.

Liberty’s Kitchen is a non-profit organization that provides New Orleans youth the resources to succeed through their programs that teach culinary and employability skills. Liberty’s Kitchen targets the problem of unemployment in the city by recognizing the barrier of a lack of education. Through training and support, Liberty’s Kitchen opens up new opportunities and helps youth build the confidence to take on career and life choices. 

Grow Dat Youth Farm is an organization that provides New Orleans youth the leadership skills to initiate change in their communities alongside a diverse group of their peers, staff, and community members. The farm directly benefits the New Orleans community by growing, harvesting, and distributing fresh organic food throughout the local New Orleans area. Grow Dat Youth Farm has had a profound impact on not only those in their programs but others throughout our community which has encouraged us to support their mission.

 Make Music Nola is a local New Orleans organization that allows New Orleans youth to unleash their creativity through music. The organization provides in-school and after school string classes to help youth access creative opportunities in their community and form positive youth development.
